The Rosselkhoznadzor said about the legality of decisions on import from Belarus – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, 7 Feb — RIA Novosti/Prime. the Rosselkhoznadzor sees no reason for concern at the statements of the interior Ministry of Belarus, which carries out a number of checks against officials of the Russian service, and continues to claim and the legitimacy of its decisions regarding the supply of agricultural products from Belarus, told RIA Novosti press-Secretary of Department Yulia Melano.

the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on 3 February offered to open a criminal case against the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert for obstruction of supplies of Belarusian foodstuffs to Russia. The press service of the Kremlin has expressed bewilderment in connection with this proposal and the Rosselkhoznadzor said that the restrictions in the supply of products from Belarus are carried out in the framework of international trade rules.

on Tuesday, February 7, the interior Ministry of Belarus said that holds a number of pre-investigation checks against the officials of the Rosselkhoznadzor. The Agency also claimed it has evidence that some officials of the Rosselkhoznadzor without justification and in violation of international law limiting the possibility of realization of Belarusian goods on the territory of the Russian Federation, and also disseminated false information discrediting the Belarusian manufacturers.

“We are absolutely unconcerned about such statements and reiterate that all actions of the Rosselkhoznadzor carried out in the framework of international trade rules,” said Melano.

She also pointed out that “the entire argument for restrictions on supplies from Belarus has repeatedly provided the Belarusian side.”

last year, the Rosselkhoznadzor repeatedly imposed restrictions on the supply to Russia of products of animal origin from a number of enterprises of Belarus, explaining that the violation of technical regulations of the EEU. The restrictions were lifted, however, at the end of the year the Minister of agriculture and food of Belarus Leonid Zayats said that food supplies to the Russian market are limited to 20 Belarusian companies.
