the Euro on Friday in trading on the Moscow stock exchange fell below 62 rubles, updating the next at least year and a half. Below this level, the European currency was last trading in July 2015.

As the head of analytical Department of Bank “Zenith” Vladimir Evstifeev, the ruble strengthened against the background of rising oil prices.

Earlier, on 9 February, the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said that the operations of the Russian Ministry of Finance on the currency market should not be taken as an attempt to influence the nominal exchange rate. She stressed that the Bank of Russia will “continue to follow the policy of floating exchange rate”.
