Lukashenko has accused the head of FSB of the Russian Federation in violation of the interstate agreement on the border – Interfax

Moscow. 3 Feb. INTERFAX.RU – the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the head of the FSB of Russia “at a stroke” crossed the interstate agreement between Belarus and the Russian Federation on the border.

“There are international treaties and agreements, and one Minister, even if strong, fsbeshnik and so on, one stroke of the pen put an end to all the arrangements, issuing your orders – 801, 802, 803. I even called the numbers of these orders,” – said Lukashenko on Friday at a meeting with journalists in Minsk.

“What kind of a border zone of 30 kilometres? I believe that this is a purely political attack,” – said Lukashenko.

“these mindless uncoordinated steps that only worsen our relationships, this can not be done! We need to go back. We have enough problems in Russia”, – said the President.

Expressing regret with the creation of the border zone, the Belarusian leader recalled that at the time the Minsk assisted the Russians, caught in a difficult situation. As an example, he cited refugees from the North Caucasus in the 90-ies, which the Belarusians “took, placed, fed”. “They gave birth there and my name was called his children. But it is the Russians, we’re not fenced off from them,” he said.

“And remember, when in Kaliningrad, Lithuania was not allowed a part, they are there, on the railway, the sleepers sat hungry, unwashed, dirty, poor, didn’t know what to do. I had them warmed, fed, and sent their people to his son – go check it out that people there were not injured. That’s how we treated the Russians,” – said Lukashenko.

According to him, Minsk did not close the border even after the terrorist attack in the subway, when, in his words, Belarusians have got a phobia. “We have a society already wary, but I the border is not closed. They who close the border today?” – asks the head of Belarus.

As it became known, on 1 February, the Director of the Federal security service of Russia Alexander Bortnikov signed a decree establishing the boundary zone on the borders of Smolensk, Pskov and Bryansk oblasts of Belarus.

Regional Department of the FSB will have to set locations and time for entry and passage of persons and vehicles in the border zone, to organize the installation of warning signs. Formerly the border zone on the borders of the subjects of the Russian Federation with Belarus was not. In 1995 border controls on the Russian-Belarusian border was lifted in connection with the signing of the Treaty of friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation between Russia and Republic of Belarus.

This measure was a response was signed by Lukashenka on January 9 decree establishing a visa-free order of entrance and departure of foreign citizens. It was found that the decree will enter into force one month after its official publication.

the Document provides visa-free entry to Belarus for a period of not more than five days at the entrance through the checkpoint through the state border of the national airport Minsk for the citizens of 80 countries.
