the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) declared carrying out of searches in the offices of a private marine terminal, owned by Russian businessman, and the apartments and homes of company executives. Investigations are in the framework of the criminal case on misappropriation of $ 6 million in fees collected from ships, said the SBU.

“In 2015 the company is a prominent Russian businessman who owns the terminal, has issued illegally the right to receive part of the proceeds from port charges. This became possible due to the illegal registration of ownership rights on the part of the area galyckogo estuary, which, under the Constitution, is the property of the Ukrainian people”, — stated in the message of the SBU.

it also notes that during the searches were seized a large amount of “unaccounted for” currency and seals of offshore companies, the legality of which will be determined by the investigation.
