Ankara was pleased with the constructive position of official Moscow on the unintended impact of the Russian space forces on a Turkish military in Syria, which killed three people, reports RIA Novosti citing a senior Turkish military source in Ankara.
“From the very first minutes after the tragedy, the leadership of the Turkish armed forces behaved very calmly, sensibly, did not act deliberately, dealing with how this all happened. Negotiations were held with Russian colleagues in coordination with the administrations of our President and Prime Minister. The deaths of our military has plunged us into great sorrow, we pray for the recovery of our wounded comrades. However, the actions and constructive position of the Russian officials immediately after the incident has been received by us positively,” said the source.
According to him, Russia in connection with the incident, offered to create a special Commission on incident investigation, which will aim to prevent similar situations in the future.
Earlier press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences in connection with death of Turkish soldiers in Syria due to an inadvertent airstrike Russia.
