the Court ordered Google to provide the FBI letters with foreign servers

US court ordered Google to provide customer emails stored on foreign servers, the FBI in the case of granting a search warrant. About it reports Reuters.

This decision will allow the FBI to investigate cases related to fraud, at the local level.

“retrieve Google data from its many centers abroad has the potential for invasion of privacy, but in fact a breach of privacy occurs at the moment of disclosure of information in the United States,” reads the judge’s decision.

Google plans to appeal the decision.

In July 2016, the court of Appeals in new York ruled that Microsoft is not required to transmit to the US authorities the data from its servers in Ireland to investigate the drug case.
