MOSCOW, 10 Feb — RIA Novosti/Prime. Imposed by the Rosselkhoznadzor rules of transportation of unpasteurized milk from disadvantaged areas can’t call a price increase, and the actions of the National Union of milk producers (“Soyuzmoloko”) should consider the Federal Antimonopoly service, told RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the Rosselkhoznadzor Julia Melano.
“Soyuzmoloko” in early February sent a letter to the Minister of agriculture, in which he expressed concerns about the entry into force of the decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor for establishing the status of regions on infectious diseases of animals. According to the decision, all the subjects of the Russian Federation has the status of the ASF, anthrax and foot and mouth disease, and also establishes rules and prohibitions regarding the movement of animals and other controlled commodities. According to the Union, the new rules and limits carry significant risks for both suppliers of raw materials and manufacturers of finished dairy products.
the Executive Director of “Soyuzmoloko” Artem Belov said “Kommersant” that the decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor will have a negative impact on the dynamics of domestic prices of raw milk that will grow in regions with a lack of raw materials and fall in the regions with a surplus.
“the decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor, of course, cannot be the cause of rising milk prices. The position of “Soyuzmoloko” destructive, and obviously, they sow panic,” — said in a few words.
“it is possible that here we have a cartel of milk producers that are members of the Union. This issue should be addressed by the FAS,” — said the press-Secretary of Rosselkhoznadzor.
