Earlier Tuesday, the Internet portal Znak.com reported that the Kremlin administration has issued a recommendation on the return of foreign educational institutions the children of officials and their relatives. As noted by the publication, this is not an order, but an informal request, but it concerns officials of all levels.
In early August for consideration by the lower house of Parliament introduced a bill prohibiting children of officials to study abroad. The author of the initiative, President of the Association of entrepreneurs for development of business of patriotism “Avanti” Rahman Yanakov, and justified it with the fact that any Russian teenager can become targets for recruitment by foreign intelligence services.
Earlier in July, state Duma Deputy Yevgeny Fyodorov has proposed not to allow the civil service to individuals who have relatives abroad, because of the threat of foreign pressure.
