Industrial production in Russia in September 2016 fell by 0.8% compared to the same period last year after growth of 0.7% in August, falling 0.3% in July, increasing 1.7% in June and 0.7 percent in may. Such data today leads the Federal state statistics service (Rosstat).
compared to the previous month, industrial production rose in September by 1.8% (after growing 0.2 in August), with the exception of seasonal and calendar factors, the index fell by 0.3%.
For 9 months of the current year industrial output increased at an annual rate of 0.3%.
According to Rosstat, in September the volume of mineral production increased by 2.1% compared to the same period in 2015 (in the first 9 months by 2.4%); the volume of production in manufacturing industries decreased in annual terms by 1% (minus 0.9% year-to-date). The production and distribution of electricity, gas and water increased in September by 1.2% and increased by 0.7% in the first 9 months of the current year.
last year the volume of industrial production decreased at an annual rate of 3.4%. In 2014 industrial production in Russia increased by 1.7%, in 2013 — 0.4%, in 2012 — by 2.6%.
