U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain, Boris Johnson said that considering the introduction of new sanctions against Russia and Syria to stop bombing Aleppo

according to Associated Press, the announcement was made after the last London meeting of foreign Ministers of UK, USA, France and Germany, who discussed the situation in Syria.

“We do not exclude any options, all options military complex. Besides, I don’t see most countries in Europe the desire for war, so we are trying to solve the problem through diplomacy,” — said at the end of the consultation Johnson.

“Yes, we do not exclude any options,” — said Kerry. According to him, there is a discussion of various options to resolve the conflict in Syria, but “magic” solutions not. “We now have a number of fresh ideas, we continue to explore options. Nobody can just turn around and leave, leaving the Aleppo bombing,” said Kerry (quoted by “RIA Novosti”). He explained that the decision on sanctions will be made within a few days.

a Day earlier, the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung said, citing a source close to the Chancellor, Angela Merkel is going to campaign for EU’s new sanctions against Russia because of its actions in Syria. According to the publication, the theme of anti-Russian sanctions may be discussed at the summit on 20 and 21 October. “Despite the fact that to agree on new sanctions against Russia, Merkel will find it difficult with coalition partners, which includes the Social democratic party, and therefore at European level, the growing dissatisfaction with the Russian”, — the newspaper notes.

the Newspaper said that US President Barack Obama in a telephone conversation with Merkel declared their support for her “strong reaction” if the EU fail to agree on new anti-Russian sanctions.

October 7, Merkel urged Russia to put an end to the “horrific” violence in Aleppo, Syria. According to Merkel, that Russia must end the violence in Aleppo, because Moscow has a big influence on the Syrian government, reports Reuters. The Chancellor pointed out that in international law there are no grounds for the bombing of hospitals, and Moscow must help to stop the escalation of violence in Syria.
