The yields of bonds of the Bank “Peresvet” has exceeded 400% per annum – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, Oct 21 — RIA Novosti/Prime. Bonds of the Bank “Peresvet”, controlled by the Russian Orthodox Church has considerably fallen in price: the yield on the issue maturing in September 2020 rose above 400% per annum on the information on the appointment of the Central Bank of the interim administration to the credit institution for a period of six months from the data of the Moscow exchange.

Under the listing rules of the stock exchange, there are no grounds for suspension of trading bonds of the Bank “Peresvet”, said RIA Novosti the representative of the exchange. On Friday, the yield on corporate bonds maturing in June 2017 surged to 225% per annum, the cost per day fell by 40 percentage points, to 49.55% of the nominal value. Over the last week quotes of paper depreciated by half.

the Rating Agency S&P on Thursday downgraded the credit rating of the counterparty of the Bank “Peresvet” to “CCC-” from “B+”. Earlier, Fitch Ratings said the possible affiliation of some of the largest borrowers among themselves. The Agency’s experts conceded that such a situation may indirectly indicate a lower than reported, as assets.
