the Pentagon thought about changing strategy in Syria over the deployment of Russian air defense, according to The Washington Post, citing sources in the defense agencies.
According to the newspaper, the US initially wasn’t too keen on air patrols in Syria, and the Russian air defense increases the “probability of war”.
At the last meeting of the National security Council discussed the probability of changing strategy, namely the replacement of flights with increased supplies of arms to the Kurds and the rebels in Aleppo.
However, another source of the newspaper noted that, despite the installation of systems s-300 and s-400, nothing much has changed. According to him, the security in the air remained about the same as the rest of the year.
