Rosstat: the income of Russians continue to fall – News Economy

Print Real disposable cash incomes of Russians fell in September by 2.8% in annual terms, after falling 8.2% in August, 7% in July to 4.5% in June, 6% in may, 7% in April, 1.3% in March, 4.3% in February and 5.8% in January, according to Rosstat. overall, in January-September, the population’s income in real terms dropped 5.3% year on year.

In nominal terms, per capita income amounted in September to 30.1 thousand RUB. (increase by 3.2% in annual terms).

the average Monthly nominal wage amounted in September to 36.1 thousand rubles (+ 9.4% in annual terms).

In real terms the average salary in September was up 2.8% yoy.

meanwhile, the number of Russians with incomes below the subsistence minimum decreased in the first half of 300 thousand people and amounted to 21.4 million people (excluding the data for Crimea and Sevastopol).

the poverty rate in Russia amounted in the first half of 14.6% versus 15.1% in the first half of 2015 and 13.1% in the first half of 2014
