the Ministry of economic development (med) has predicted that in 2019, Russia will be unable to increase production of oil.
In accordance with the forecast level of oil production in 2016 will increase by 2%, in 2017 — 0.7%, in 2018 — by 0.9%, and in 2019 the growth will simply stop. The production level will remain at 2018, reports “Газета.Ru” with reference to TASS.
According to the final version of the macroeconomic forecast of the Ministry, the Russian oil industry is influenced by external economic and geopolitical situation, increasing competition in the global oil market, technological development, allowing the development of a huge amount of resources. In addition to the process of increasing oil production is affected by the depletion of economic and profitable reserves in the mining regions with developed infrastructure (Western Siberia, the Urals, the Volga region), harsh natural conditions and poor infrastructure in new regions (Eastern Siberia, the far North, the far East). “As well as the lack of necessary competences for the implementation of offshore and other complex projects with the import restrictions of equipment and technologies for their realization”, — said the Agency.
the MAYOR noted that to improve the competitiveness of the oil industry it is necessary to reduce the cost of production and exploration, to bring cost-effective technology and to create a favorable tax environment for the industry.
