Forum “Open innovation” at SKOLKOVO resumed after the evacuation – TASS

SKOLKOVO, October 26. /TASS/. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has continued to work at the Technopark “SKOLKOVO”. He is conducting a previously scheduled meeting of the Presidium of the presidential Council for economic modernisation and innovative development, the correspondent of TASS.

Earlier in Technopark there is a short circuit, which was interrupted by the plenary session of the forum “Open innovations”. Currently, a small fire is extinguished. The forum continues its work in the former regime.

Medvedev expressed hope that the Presidium of the Council on innovation will be “more successful” after thwarted due to the circuit meeting of the forum. “We’re here for the second event at Technopark SKOLKOVO. The first was not very successful, because the fire alarm went off and had to interrupt the event. Let’s hope that the second event, a meeting of the Presidium of the Council for upgrade will be more successful,” – said the Russian Prime Minister.

Speaking on the topic of the meeting on innovative development of the economies of the regions, Medvedev noted that the initial conditions of constituent entities of the Russian Federation vary, scientific, industrial, educational capacity is not evenly distributed. “But to deal with the technical development, of course, need everything. The situation is changing very quickly, and who does not fit in the wave of innovation is likely to be uncompetitive. We understand that today the possibilities of regional budgets is not very significant, the governors should think primarily about solving social problems, but you need to think about the future, to lay the development potential,” – said the Prime Minister. He recalled that “we have not all regions are able to produce gas and oil, and in the market of hydrocarbons there are different periods”. “The only way of developing is to do their own competitiveness, to create innovative regional economy 221;, – stressed the head of government.
