the pre-crisis level of real incomes of Russians will be back by the end of 2018. About this on air of NTV said the Minister of labour and social protection Maxim Topilin.
“I’m talking about those real indicators of wages and pensions. We expect that by the end of 2018 will be the recovery. Growth will begin and in the 2017-2018 year. And in three years, 2018, 2019, we believe that these revenues will recover”, he said.
Topilin also proposed to equalize the minimum wage and the subsistence minimum, however, reminded of the need to approve such decision with the Union. In his opinion, to revise the amount of the minimum wage is necessary “carefully, to postpone it in time” and called a small value of this index problem.
Earlier it was reported that real disposable monetary incomes of the population of Russia in August 2016 fell 8.3% yoy after a decline of 7% in the previous month. Such preliminary data is resulted by Rosstat. Relative to the previous month, real incomes increased in August by 1.1%. For 8 months of the current year, they decreased by 5.8%.
