Some time ago, a number of countries have asked the Russian regime to weaken the food embargo imposed August 7, 2014 in response to EU sanctions. And now Moscow responded readily to move in this direction. This is to ensure that after the abolition of the Russian embargo of food suppliers from these countries can immediately start exporting its products to Russia, said “Interfax”.

The list of companies yet agreed, but mainly focuses on those farms that previously have not been visited by Russian specialists. Inspectors should ensure that suppliers fulfill not only the requirements of the EU, but also Russian regulations, because a number of indicators they differ. Products to hit the Russian shops, and from there on the table customers, it is necessary that it meets certain requirements. This will be checked.

It is possible that in some cases the crop production from these countries will be supplied to Russia under the guarantee of national phytosanitary services. But first, should be made a political decision to cancel the food embargo.

Recall that response to Western sanctions in the form of a ban on the supply of meat and meat products, milk and dairy products, fish and fish products, fruits and vegetables from USA. EU, Canada, Australia and Norway was introduced Russia August 7, 2014.

Part of the production is now replaced by Russian producers, the other part is filled expense of exports from other countries that are not embargoed.

In addition to Greece, Hungary and Cyprus in the future, perhaps the issue of lifting the embargo will affect Italy, Slovakia, Austria and Spain. But for this, these countries should also abandon the policy of “sanctions” in relation to Russia.

Germany, France and Poland also not be tested against. But so far no such plans.
