A new form of criminal punishment in Russia will introduce compulsory work – Moskovsky Komsomolets

Valery Maksimenko has noted that forced labor is another alternative to imprisonment. “This kind of punishment has the advantage that it is not isolation from society”, — quotes the official TASS.

According to him, the convicts are sent to stay in detention centres. However, they will not be able to choose and change jobs on their own or to leave the prison without permission of the administration.
