“Production volume is approximately 25-30 thousand vehicles. This premium segment, with the exception of the S-class, that is premium SUVs. From the point of view of time – I think that before the end of the year we need to sign Speke (special investment), subject to the willingness of colleagues. I can say that to build this plant with full technological cycle will cost no less than 300 million euros,” – said Manturov.

Earlier, the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation reported that the Agency approved the project of Daimler’s production of Mercedes cars in the Moscow region. After the approval of the Ministry of industry and trade to continue the project must be approved by the authorities of the Moscow region.

Carmaker Daimler for several years negotiating with the Russian authorities and businesses on the localization of production of Mercedes cars in Russia. The company considered as potential sites of the Moscow plant “Mosavtozil”, the industrial zone in Shushary, Leningrad region, the Moscow region industrial Park “Esipovo”.
