Belarus has invited Russia to exchange the shares of “Bashneft” to share in his enterprises, said the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko. There is no answer still, he complained.

Belarus wanted to take part in the privatization of a controlling stake in Bashneft, which in mid-October, bought “Rosneft”, said the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko at a press conference for Russian regional media in Minsk. According to him, Belarus was willing to exchange a share in their enterprises on the shares of “Bashneft”.

“the Russians often criticize us, “Lukashenko does not want to privatize four companies,” — said the President of Belarus (quoted by BelTA). According to Lukashenko, we are talking about large enterprises, privatization of which would like to participate Russia. As an example, he cited the manufacturer of trailers and cars “Poplar”, nuclear warheads, missiles: “This is only Belarus produces. In the USSR it was a powerful company, we have maintained and modernized.” According to him, the Russians also want to buy “companies in the space industry” and the company “Integral”, which deals with computers and integrated circuits, BelTA has learned.

“do you Have interest in these companies, you will want to buy them. I have interest in the extraction of oil: not the 25 million tons that we processed in Belarus, but 7-8 million tonnes we could produce ourselves and supply in the country,” he continued.

“And when was the privatization of “Bashneft”, I submitted proposals to your government and leadership. Let us, the Belarusians will understand when we these enterprises with the condition that they will work better than today, will exchange the shares of “Bashneft”, “Rosneft” transferred or sold. So far the answer is no — then you do not want”, — concluded the Belarusian leader.

Lukashenka’s statement on Thursday reacted to the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. He noted that the proposals on the participation of Minsk in the energy companies in Russia need to assess, based on economic feasibility. “If this [proposal Belarus] is more advantageous than the other proposals, it is of interest,” — said Peskov (quoted by TASS).

in Addition to “Rosneft” on of 50.08% of “Bashneft” claimed another eight Russian companies, including LUKOIL and “Tatneft”. The interest of Belarus to this asset was not previously reported.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on 10 October signed the order about sale of a controlling stake of “Bashneft”, “Rosneft” without competition for 329,69 billion RUB., the Company has only made a legally binding offer with a price higher evaluations of E&Y, which by order of the government appreciated the “Bashneft” in 297-315 billion rubles., said Alexei Ulyukayev, then held the post of Minister of economic development.

According to Lukashenko, Russia cannot influence the situation in Belarus, selling her oil and gas. If Moscow thinks that “we have to buy oil and gas and it is possible to influence on Belarus, it’s wrong,” he said.

Belarus starting in 2016, sought lower prices for Russian gas from $ 132 to 73 per 1 thousand cubic meters. m and did not recognize the presence of the debt for already delivered this year gas. This dispute was reflected in the conditions of supply and transit of Russian oil to Belarus. In early 2016 the Ministry of energy reported that in the current year Russia plans to supply Belarus with 23 million tonnes of oil. However, in the third quarter of the supply of oil to this country has been reduced from 5.3 million to 3.5 million tonnes, the Russian Minister of energy Alexander Novak explained that this is due to non-payment by Belarus for Russian gas.

In early October, Lukashenko said that the oil and gas dispute between Russia and Belarus resolved. Republic agreed to pay the debt for supplied gas at $ 300 million until the end of October, but the price of gas did not remain the same, Medvedev stressed. “To avoid wrong interpretations, just wanted to emphasize the fact that the price supplied to Belarus gas remains the same and is calculated according to the existing formula. No adjustment is made”, — said the Russian Prime Minister. And Moscow has pledged after the debt to resume the supply of oil in the same volume, noted the Vice-Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko.
