Rosstat: the decline of industrial production in Russia continues to Lead Economy

Print Industrial production in Russia in October fell by 0.2% in annual terms against the reduction of 0.8% in September and a 0.7 percent increase in August, according to Rosstat. the Decline in industrial production in September in annual terms was the highest since January, when the index fell by 2.7%.

In July, industrial production decreased by 0.3% in June rose 1.7% in may – 0.7%, April – 0.5%, in March dropped by 0.5% in February rose 1%. In General, in January-October the industrial production increased by 0.3%.

With the exception of seasonal and calendar factors industrial production increased in October by 0.3% after declining 0.3% in September, rising 0.5% in August, falling 0.9 percent in July, rising 0.5% in June, falling 0.1% in may, 0.2% in April, 0.5% in March, a 1.5 percent increase in February and a 0.8 percent fall in January.

mineral Production increased in October by 0.8% yoy against 2.1% in September (in January-October – an increase of 2.2%).

industrial Production in the manufacturing sector decreased in October by 0.8% compared with 1.6% in September (in January-October – decline by 0.9%).

Production and distribution of electricity, gas and water increased in October by 1.1% against 1.4% in September (in January-October increased by 0.7%).

natural gas Production in October fell 1.8% after rising 6.5% in September (in January-October – decline by 0.9%), oil production grew by 2.4% against 1.9% in September (in January-October – an increase of 2.4% to 455 million tonnes). Coal production fell in October by 3% after rising 0.2% in September (in January-October – an increase of 4.9%).

car Production in October fell by 2.9% compared with 3.6% in September (in January-October – a decrease of 10.9%).

pig iron Production fell in October by 6.9%, steel pipes – by 12.3%, the steel fiber increased by 2%. Electricity production rose last month by 1.7%, heat energy – has not changed.

the Ministry expects industrial production growth in 2016 of 0.4%.
