the FAS may investigate and prosecute in respect of payment systems Visa and MasterCard for alleged discrimination against small businesses, according to RIA Novosti.
At a joint meeting of the Presidium of the FAS and the governing Board of “OPORA Russia” President Alexander Kalinin said that Visa and MasterCard charge a Commission of 1.5% for the service of big business and to 2.5% is small. “There clearly is discrimination. What to do with it?” — he turned to the head of Federal Antimonopoly service Igor Artemyev.
“This statement in the FAS. With pleasure. Will be one of the favorite (antitrust — ed.) business,” — said Artemyev.
Kalinin confirmed that the statement will be written.
