The Central Bank of Russia has determined exchange rates at the time of the Christmas holidays. The dollar today is estimated at 56 rubles 24 kopecks, euro – 68 rubles 37 kopecks. At these elevations values fixed rate until January 11. The past year was marked by a rapid decline in the ruble positions: they fell by 41% against the dollar and 34% – to the euro. The process depends on the cost of petroleum products, bu t significant trend towards an increase yet. Economists say the first few months of the year will be much pressure on the ruble caused by the payment of external debt, but it is offset by significant ruble rates and a shortage of ruble liquidity.
