“Information about the theft of 2 billion rubles correspondent accounts with the Bank of Russia in case of a hacker attack is not true. Earlier, CNN, citing Deputy head of the main Directorate of security and information protection of the Central Bank Artem Sychev said that hackers stole 2 billion rubles from Russian banks, which were in CB. According to the representative of the Bank, the hacker’s goal was 5 billion rubles, but the attack failed to reflect the services of the Central Bank and thus to recover some stolen.

Later, “Interfax” explained that Sychev really told journalists that the cyber fraudsters with the beginning of the year tried to steal customer funds in Russian banks on the amount.
