In 2017 Russia will double the number of space launches – Вести.Ru

In January 2017 is planned to launch from Baikonur and Guiana, reports “Interfax”. Plesetsk will start working on launches in February. If from Plesetsk was conducted five starts in the new year there will be six. There will be a lot of work on the creation of ground space infrastructure for space-rocket complex “Angara”, including the objects of ground space infrastructure perspective upper stages on environmentally friendly propellant components.

Serious work on the completion of the second stage is planned at the cosmodrome East. In 2016, hosted the first launch rocket “Soyuz-2.1 A”. Planned for the next year two of launch to orbit two spacecraft “Canopus-b” and hydro-meteorological apparatus “meteor”.

In 2016 at the Baikonur cosmodrome conducted 11 launches of space rockets, said Vice-Premier of the Russian government Dmitry Rogozin. On the target orbit was derived 10 spacecraft, one launch was a disaster.

In 2017 from Baikonur it is planned to launch 15 missiles. Among the spacecraft are satellites of the GLONASS system, the devices according to the program of international cooperation and commercial projects, as well as the launch plans of the Russian General staff.

Besides, at the cosmodrome in Kazakhstan will be created the complex “Baiterek” on the basis of new technological developments on the development of rocket launch complex “Zenit”.
