CNN announced the closure of the Anglo-American school in Moscow in response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats 35 of the United States. The school is operating since 1949 under the auspices of the embassies of USA, great Britain and Canada.
About the upcoming closure of the institution, the TV station said two American sources, reported Twitter account CNN Politics. The correspondent of TV channel Ivan Perez in his Twitter also reports that in the summer of next year, American diplomats will not be able to relax in the rest house of the U.S. Embassy in the Silver forest – the forest area on the outskirts of Moscow.
the Anglo-American school said that educates around 1,250 students from 60 countries. The school has about 150 teachers. CNN reports that the school teaches the children of many employees of embassies of the USA, Canada and UK.
Before the U.S. announced its intention to expel from Washington and San Francisco in 35 Russian diplomats in response to a hostile campaign against American diplomats in Moscow. Also the American authorities have decided to close for Russian officials access to two agencies in new York and Maryland used by the Russians for intelligence purposes.
the state Department announced the expulsion of diplomats is part of the measures taken in connection with the intervention in the election process in the United States. States have also introduced sanctions against Russia in connection with hacker attacks during the election campaign.
