In the Russian market falsifies a quarter of all products, said the official representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor. In the CPS data is that a quarter of the product is a fake, not confirmed

In Russia, falsified up to a quarter of the food product. This was stated by the official representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexei Alekseenko at the Gaidar forum, reports “Interfax”.

“we Have a problem that is causing us enormous damage and can bring him even more is the massive falsification of food products. According to our random inspections, falsified steadily a quarter of all food products of all kinds, except one — food egg falsifiziert only in China, we have,” he said.

At the fish market, for example, explained Alekseenko, falsification boils down to the substitution of names, “pumps” fish polyphosphates, so that the icing kept more moisture. “All this in order to get into our pocket. But along the way, it still leads to the fact that unscrupulous companies get a head start compared to bona fide producers”, — said the representative office.

According to him, “there is a process of reverse selection” — benefit fraud, and companies manufacturing normal products cost are in the “extremely disadvantaged”. “This is the peak, it’s a corkscrew, and the government should restore order, to create conditions for the development of raw material producers and processing industry”, — said Alekseenko.

In the Federal service, however, not confirmed data about the fact that a quarter of food products in Russia has been steadily falsified. The quality of Russian products serious criticism mostly is not a cause, and among low-quality products lead imported fish and melons, said the Agency. Also, the service cited the data of Rosstat, according to which the total volume of non-compliant food products in January—November 2016 made among meat and poultry 6.6 percent, fish at 5.8%, confectionery products by 3.7%.

At the beginning of October last year, the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert said that the Agency supports strengthening the economic responsibility for the falsification of products. “If you’re faking products, then it should be a responsibility, if not criminal, such economic, what are you doing I can not”, — he stressed.

In October 2016, the CPS proposed to Supplement the Code of administrative offences (Cao) a new article on the introduction of penalties for employers over the sale of counterfeit products. Under the bill, for the manufacture, import or sale counterfeiting business can be subject to fines of 30 thousand rubles to 1 million rubles with a possible confiscation.

In the explanatory note to the document said that the reason for the initiative is received by the CPS from January to August last year more than 1.7 million hits “on the detection in circulation of adulterated dairy products.”

As he wrote RBC in September 2016, the CPS proposed to introduce criminal liability in the form of a fine of 3 million rubles for selling fake food in kindergartens, schools and hospitals. The appearance of fraud in especially large sizes may be punished by correctional labor for a term not exceeding two years, stated in the proposals Department.
