According to the new York stock exchange (NYSE), on January 25 was recorded a new record level for the Dow Jones index – the index value exceeded 20 thousand.
After the presidential elections in the United States and the victory of Donald trump (9 November 2016) DJIA rose from 19 thousand (November 22, 2016) to 20 million (25 Jan 2017) points in just 42 trading sessions.
Before that, the American stock market showed a more rapid dynamics only in 1999 – in the midst of the period which later became known as “the Bubble” (Dot-com bubble) then the Dow Jones index rose by 1 thousand points in 24 trading sessions (from 10 thousand to 11 thousand points). The President of the United States Donald trump simply reacted to the news, saying: “Excellent!”
