In accordance with the order of FAS of Russia dated 23 December 2016 number 1835/16, the tariffs for railway passenger transportation in the regulated segment (couchette and General cars plying on domestic routes, as well as in railcar rolling stock of trains of JSC “Federal passenger company”) from January 1, 2017 will be indexed by 3.9% to 2016.

in addition, for the further development of passenger transport and improve the quality of services provided by the Government of the Russian Federation adopted the decision to reduce VAT rates for JSC “Federal passenger company” in 2017 to 0%. Indexation will apply only to fares on trains that are not included in the dynamic pricing system. Currently running system is about 75% of the trains of JSC “FPC”. Thus, when pre-buying of tickets passengers can purchase them at prices lower than 2016.
