2017 Tula should pay a “Tax on Google” First Tula

From 1 January 2017, in Russia launched the so-called “tax on Google”. This is a new law under which foreign companies trading in the Internet, Russia e-content should pay value added tax (VAT) with the sold content.

the tax must, in the opinion of the initiators of the law, to equate the rights of domestic and foreign Internet companies, as previously VAT was paid only the registered Russian organization. From yesterday to dnepromodel registered in a special registry FNM needs and foreign companies. In addition, they must pay to the Russian budget VAT – not later 25-th day of the month following the expired tax period.

Foreign sellers of content in the Google search engine reported that it will raise prices on their products just 18% VAT which they must pay. Thus the tax will primarily affect the wallets of buyers. Hence the colloquial name – “tax on Google”.
