Turkey has offered to allow Russian tourists to pay in rubles – Rosbalt.RU


 Minister of Economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekchi proposed to allow tourists from Russia to pay off its national currency.

 According to “Interfax”, the official put forward this initiative at the Russian-Turkish media forum in Antalya. He noted that from January to July 2016 the flow of Russian tourists in the country fell by about 80% compared with the same period a year earlier. Zeybekchi called “restore and even exceed” these figures.

 The Minister also commented on the issue of safety of tourists in Turkey. According to him, Ankara is working with us on this issue with Russian experts.

 In turn, the mayor of Antalya Mendes Tyurel added to all tourists in the region, most Russian citizens.

 August 28, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the removal of restrictions on charter flights to Turkey. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, these routes should start on September 3.
