The government has introduced a number of restrictions on public procurement of import products, including meat and fish. Foreign suppliers will not admit to the auctions provided that at least two members of the Russian or EAEC

The Russian government has limited the purchase of a number of foreign-made products for state and municipal needs. The Cabinet of Ministers pointed out the possibility to purchase similar products from suppliers in Russia or the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan).

In particular, the limited possibility of purchasing imported from abroad, fresh and frozen fish and canned fish, seafood, beef, pork, poultry meat and meat by-products, butter, cheese, rice and sugar, and salt, and dry and condensed milk.
