Consumer prices in Russia went up again – Rosbalt.RU


 Consumer prices in Russia for the period from 16 to 22 August rose by 0.1% after zero inflation the previous week and double deflation of 0.1% in the previous 14 days. Such data today leads the Federal State Statistics Service.

 Since the beginning of this month, consumer prices did not change, but in general, since the beginning of the year, they increased by 3,9%.

 As recalled by the Federal State Statistics Service, last year inflation reached 0.4% in August, with the beginning of the year – 9,8%

 The Office points out that during the period among the food most of all risen in price of pork – by 0,7%

 In addition, the prices for chicken – by 0.5%, pasteurized milk, cheese, butter, margarine and buckwheat – by 0,3%

 At the same time, the decline in prices for fruit and vegetables in the average was 3.4%, including fresh tomatoes – 9.4%, potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage – 4-5,8%

 Prices for motor gasoline and diesel fuel have not changed.

 Earlier, Rosstat reported that inflation in Russia in July 2016 was 0.5% compared with the previous month, when it was fixed at 0.4%. In annual terms, inflation in the country amounted to 7.2% in July after 7.5% in June this year.

 At the end of 2015 inflation was 12.9% in Russia, while consumer prices increased by 11.4% in 2014.
