The European Union has extended sanctions against Russian citizens and organizations of Ukraine – REGNUM

Brussels, 7 September 2016, 18:40 – REGNUM Committee of permanent representatives of EU countries approved the extension from 15 September for a further six months of individual sanctions against the citizens and the Russian and Ukrainian companies, according to “Izvestiya».

The restrictive EU measures imposed against individuals and entities whose actions are directed against the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. They include the freezing of financial and other assets, as well as a ban on travel to the EU. The sanctions imposed against 146 persons and 37 legal entities. The list remains the same and will not be adjusted. Permanent Representatives decision will be finally agreed by the EU Council by written procedure, which should be finalized September 15, 2016.
