Russian Ministry of Defense may strengthen the grouping of railway troops, a leading construction of the road Zhuravka – Millerovo Crimea, bypassing Ukraine. The journalists said Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov, Tass reports.
According to him, in the near future the construction of the headquarters will calculate the amount of work. If the available power is not enough, the group may increase another railway battalion. In this case it will be the fifth involved in the construction of the railway.
According to Interfax, Bulgakov also reported that construction is ahead of schedule for the month. He added that now carried out more than 50% of excavation works.
The idea to build a railroad
in the Crimea, not passing through the territory of Ukraine came in March 2014 when the peninsula became part of Russia. In November 2014 TASS referring to the federal official, who participated in the discussion of the project, he said that the cost of the project will amount to 5 billion rubles.
