Medvedev: send 12 billion rubles to agricultural objectives SKFO – RIA Novosti

SLIDES, July 29 – RIA Novosti. In the current year, the agricultural purpose of the North District will be allocated 12 billion rubles, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting of the Government Commission on the socio-economic development of the North Caucasus Federal County.

“The total amount of federal funds that have been allocated to support agriculture in the North Caucasus, has exceeded 11 billion rubles. This year we plan to send agricultural purpose in the North Caucasus 12 billion rubles,” – said Medvedev.

“The pace of development of agriculture in the North Caucasus in the last year were also above the national average. According to the relevant ministry, the growth is 5.3%, including crop production – 7%,” – said Prime Minister, noting that all of these products the consumer must receive the normal form, and therefore the necessary infrastructure for storage and processing, as well as to promote the products of the North Caucasus in Russia’s major retail chains.

“Restrictions imports of some food products – it’s really a good support for our farmers. Recently, as you know, we have decided to extend the retaliatory measures against imports from the EU and some other countries for a further year. But competition with producers from other regions of our country, of course, has not been canceled, and work successfully in the Russian market can offer only the normal price, and of course, high-quality and environmentally friendly products. Opportunities for modern, high-performance, efficient agriculture in the North Caucasus is, they are not just there, they’re unique, “- Medvedev said at a meeting of the Government Commission.
