Inflation in Russia continues to grow – BBC

The consumer price index in Russia for a week, from 14 to 20 July, up 0.1% from the beginning of the year inflation was 9.5%. This is stated in the updated data of Rosstat.

Since the beginning of July this year, inflation stood at 0.9% against 0.5% in the past.

The rise in prices was recorded for sugar (in the 1%), mutton, canned meat, sunflower oil, margarine, candy, soft candy, chocolate, black tea – at 0.2-0.3%. At the same time the eggs dropped by 0.8%, cheese and butter – 0.3 and 0.2%, respectively.

The decline in prices for fruit and vegetables by an average of 1.6%, including cucumbers – 7%, tomatoes – 3.9%, potatoes – 3.8%, cabbage – 3.3%. However, carrots became more expensive by 0.5%, apples – by 0,3%.

The price of motor gasoline increased by 0.4%, diesel fuel – by 0,1%.

The fee for housing in the houses of the state and municipal housing funds increased by 0.8%, tariffs for communal services – by 0,3-0,6%.
