Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by his press office, signed a decree on the destruction brought into the country podsanktsionnyh products. The name of the document – “On certain special economic measures applied to ensure the security of the Russian Federation.”

The president agreed: to implement his decree of August 6, 2014 “On the application of certain special economic measures in order to ensure the security of the Russian Federation” and dated 24 June 2015 “On the extension of certain special economic measures in order to ensure the security of the Russian Federation “to establish that the goods imported into the territory of the Russian Federation of agricultural products, raw materials and food products, the country of origin of which is the state, decided to impose economic sanctions against Russian legal entities and (or) individuals or join such a decision and which are prohibited for import into the the Russian Federation, shall be destroyed from August 6, 2015.

The provisions of the decree do not apply to goods imported by individuals for

personal use or placed under the customs procedure of customs transit and transported to third countries, provided that the authenticity of the veterinary and phytosanitary accompanying documents, their compliance with the cargo, and the availability of government regulatory bodies have sufficient reason to believe that the delivery of goods will be made at a location outside the territory of the Russian Federation in accordance with the terms of placement of goods under the customs procedure of customs transit.

Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to establish the procedure for destruction of goods.

The decree comes into force from the date of its signing.
