BERLIN, October 12. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier called on Arab countries, Turkey and Iran to cooperate in the fight against radical group “Islamic state”.
In an interview with Der Tagesspiegel am Sonntag, he said that he would try to convince these states “appropriate together to take action against the IG.” For this purpose “must be overcome previous adversarial relationship,” said the Foreign Minister of Germany.
However Steinmeier again ruled out the use of combat aircraft and sending ground troops to fight the Bundeswehr with jihadists.
