On the postponement of tariff reduction for European goods for access to the Ukrainian market has asked the President of Ukraine. Poroshenko stressed that this is not contrary to the Association Agreement, the agreement on the establishment of a deep and comprehensive free trade area.

The Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine was signed in Brussels on 27 June. In the economic part of the agreement is supposed to cancel a number of duties and freer movement of capital, as well as the mutual opening of Ukrainian and European markets. September 15 the association agreement will be sent to the Verkhovna Rada, and in the case of parliamentary approval document will come into force on 1 November.

The question of compromise, which would have made Russia at the conclusion of agreements of Ukraine and the EU is one of the key themes intergovernmental dialogue on the highest level.
