The Russian government will not raise the rate of income tax for individuals. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in an interview with «Vedomosti» .
«The final decision about whether to change the rates of existing taxes or impose new taxes, has not been made” – said the head of the government, but added that the government’s decision in any case would not affect the tax on personal income. Only increase the taxation of dividends: it will grow from 9% to 13%.
According to Medvedev, the introduction of regional sales tax or VAT increase is not yet resolved.
«We finally discuss these issues, let’s look more at the possibility of optimizing the expenditure side of the budget, for a number of government programs, and take a balanced decision. I think it will happen before the end of this month “, – concluded the Prime Minister.
