According to him, the fare is proposed to increase in February 2017 with the current 1,53 rbl. for 1 km to 2.61 RUB, and on June 1 of next year to 3.06 RUB He added that revenues from the system “Platon” (the system of charging heavy vehicles for travel on Federal highways) for the following year are projected at $ 33 billion.

“In any case, like any other, this decision is made by the government of Russia — and it is in this case open in order to take the decision which it considers necessary”, — said the Deputy head of the Ministry of transport.

According to Dietrich, the discussion of increase of tariffs begins “in advance — in order to February 1 to be able to clarify the views, positions and make the decision with open eyes”. He stressed that all measures taken to deductions for transport tax will remain, and the Ministry of transport will continue to work together with businesses and carriers to eliminate possible problems in the system. The official also said that it is planned to resume the meetings of the working group. First, according to him, already scheduled for November 8.

Earlier, on 2 November it was reported that the transport Ministry has begun preparation of amendments to the draft resolution of the government that provide for a phased tariff increase in the “Plato”.
