TFR has withdrawn the request for the arrest of former Prosecutor of the Leningrad region – Kommersant

the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) has charged the former Prosecutor of the Leningrad region Stanislav Ivanov of taking bribes of 20 million rubles. “on 3 November on the basis of promptly collected from the evidence, Stanislav Ivanov, was charged with committing a crime under part 6 of article 290 of the Russian criminal code, that is, of taking bribes during the performance of his duties as Prosecutor of the Leningrad region in a large scale in the amount of 20 million rubles,”— said on the website of the TFR.

the Investigator filed a motion for dismissal of Mr. Ivanov in connection with the presence of diseases preventing his detention. “Subject received 3 November medical report, previously unavailable in the criminal case, according to which Stanislav Ivanov of diseases preventing his detention in accordance with the RF Government resolution “On medical examination of suspects or accused of committing crimes”, the result stated at the hearing an application for release of detainees”,— is spoken in the message of the TFR.

we will Remind, in St.-Petersburg the court for two days adjourned the petition of a consequence about arrest of mister Ivanov. The reason for this decision was his poor health. Involved in corruption cases for several weeks undergoing treatment in a specialized Oncology clinic.
