Previously, the newspaper “Kommersant”, citing sources reported that Russia is November 8, can unilaterally stop flights to Tajikistan due to the failure of Dushanbe to coordinate the flights of Russian companies from the airport Zhukovsky. According to the source, in Tajikistan believe that it became the fourth full-featured airport of the Moscow aviation hub. The press service of the Ministry told the newspaper that, according to the order of the government, to Moscow are the international airports “Vnukovo” “Domodedovo” and “Sheremetyevo” and “Zhukovskiy” refers to Ramenskoye.

“our Ministry received a letter the Russian side on the issue of flights from the new airport Zhukovsky. After studying the letter we replied to the Russian side that in the current environment new flights from this airport are unprofitable… the Twenty-fourth of November, we are planning to hold talks with Russian aviation authorities about the flights… including from the new airport “Zhukovskiy”, — said Rakhmonov.

He believes that since the airport Zhukovsky newly built and not yet functioning at 100%, the airlines will suffer losses due to the small number of passengers, “besides, this issue needs to be addressed through intergovernmental agreements”.

According to him, currently on a parity basis to the airports of Dushanbe and “Domodedovo” flights carried out two Tajik and two Russian airlines.

“Tajikistan has given permission for implementation of flights by Russian and other foreign airlines until March 24, 2017, but Russia such permission of the Tajik airlines were not given,” — said Rakhmonov.

He said that the time resolution of the Tajik airlines on flights to Russia ends December 1, and to address these issues is scheduled to hold talks in the middle of the third decade of November.
