The Russian Energy Ministry reported that the country of Turkey has sent two proposals for the construction of “Turkish Stream».

– We sent two Turkish proposal. One – one thread, the second – on four threads. Now the proposals are considered by the Turkish side – told reporters the representatives of authorities.

The Ministry also noted that the configuration of the pipeline system can be in two or even four times less than the previously announced size capacity of 63 billion cubic meters per year .

Let’s remind, December 1, 2014 “Gazprom” and the Turkish company BOTAS have agreed to build a gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey. “Turkish Stream” is an alternative to the project “South Stream” to terminate the implementation of which was announced in December last year.

The head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller, in turn, noted that Russia is ready to build the first “Turkish Stream “, and then wait for him to build infrastructure in Europe.
