Dollar against the ruble on the Moscow Stock Exchange by midday Tuesday exceeded 63 rubles. The euro exchange rate against the ruble reached 74.9 rubles.
The ruble weakened amid falling oil prices. Brent crude oil has been around less than 52 dollars per barrel.
The dollar and the euro are growing the second consecutive trading day.
Since the beginning of 2015 the dollar gained 7.1 rubles, or 12.7% and the euro rose to 6.25 rubles, or 9,1%.
December 31 Bank of Russia set for the festive period – from 1 to 12 January – the official exchange rate at the level of 56.24 rubles, euro – 68.37 rubles. Central Bank every working day special order establishes the official exchange rates of foreign currencies, which are mainly used for settlement of customs duties.
