It is reported that an employee stole about 350 thousand customers, and then placed in a network of 900 names and numbers. As suggested by the representative of the bank Morgan Stanley, he intended to then sell passwords, credit card and social security numbers of clients.
The name and sex of the employee is not given. Law enforcement agencies and regulators are investigating the incident.
Bank Morgan Stanley said that its network had not been hacked, in addition, no client has lost their life savings. The cost of the bank’s shares on Monday fell by 3.4% to 37.39 dollars.
