Kiev: The agreement on the EU-Ukraine Association should not undergo any changes – Sight

In the Presidential Administration of Ukraine expect 18 April of the first proposals of the European Union on the agreement on Kiev’s association with the EU after a referendum in the Netherlands, said the deputy head of the administration, Konstantin Eliseev.

He also expressed his belief that “as awareness of the referendum and its impact on the results of a pan-European unity will be able to enter the joint trade-offs.”

On Friday, European Parliament President Martin Schulz expressed his regret because of the results of the referendum held in the Netherlands on ratification of the Association Agreement between the EU and Kiev. In the same vein were London and Washington.

At the end of the counting of votes in all the municipalities of the Netherlands, 38.1% of participants in the referendum on the question of EU members and Ukraine voted for the ratification of the agreement, 61.1% opposed. Turnout on the results of the counting of ballots in all municipalities was 32.2%, which is more than 30%, for the recognition of a valid vote.

The final outcome of the vote is expected to be announced April 12. However, Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the kingdom has already acknowledged the victory of the opponents of the agreement between Ukraine and the EU in a referendum.

According to him, “if the turnout is more than 30% with an overwhelming majority voted against, the (…) the ratification (agreement) simply can not continue.”

Sam Kiev described the results of the referendum as a statement against the Dutch authorities. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko saw in the referendum in the Netherlands’ attack on the unity of Europe. ”

Later, the initiator of the referendum in the Netherlands proposed to amend the agreement on association with Ukraine.
