 Ukraine and Russia have found a compromise over the period, in which Kiev can lodge an objection to the lawsuit about the debt of $ 3 billion.

 As reported at the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance, on the eve of the meeting of the London Court of Russia has agreed to provide additional time for the provision of objections. Earlier, Moscow refused to fulfill a request of the Ukrainian side, insisting that the issue should be decided by a court in the UK.

 “The Ukrainian side is pleased to note that Russia has finally recognized that the continuation of such a period, and decided not to waste court time to address the issue, which would obviously lost to Russia”, – noted in Kiev

Finance Minister Sergei Storchak said that Ukraine had twice asked London’s High Court to postpone the hearing of the case for the recovery of debt of $ 3 billion. Kiev had to pay to Moscow in December 2015. The funds were received by Ukraine in late 2013, when the president was Viktor Yanukovych.
