The government has made Latvia and Lithuania in the list of foreign countries, to carriers which are introduced tolls on the roads of Russia. The corresponding decree was posted on the Cabinet website.

According to the explanatory document, the decision to charge the Latvian and Lithuanian carriers is connected with the fact that these two countries have previously taken a similar decision in respect of the Russian cars.

In addition, the decision of increasing the amount of fees to foreign carriers on the roads of Russia. They amount to 850 rubles per day, and for the year -. 120 thousand rubles.. As explained in the government, the amounts established in accordance with the current euro exchange rate. Previously, the fee is 385 rubles. and 60 thousand. rub. respectively (established on the basis of the euro exchange rate of 35 rubles.).

The fees apply to vehicles with load capacity from 3.5 to 12 m inclusive.

Lithuania introduced tolls on motorways, country registered in the Russian truck last December. Before that, Russian truckers were exempt from collection in Lithuania in connection with the intergovernmental agreement in 1993. In Latvia, the collection introduced from July 2014.
